Paul Casey and wife Pollyanna are celebrating the birth of their daughter, Astaria. Their three year old son Lex now has a baby sister.
Casey had told the media recently that his wife was due the week of the BMW Championship, but Casey said it would not be an issue.
“I think I’ll play. This one will be early as well. They just don’t know how early,” Casey said.
His wife was scheduled for a cesarean section.
Amanda Herrington, Senior Manager of Communications for the PGA Tour confirmed to My Golf Daily today that Casey is still committed but will be arriving late.
Casey is ranked eight in Fed Ex Cup points and has been playing well recently. He also leads the tour in consecutive cuts made with 18.
Casey is scheduled to tee off in the first round Thursday of the BMW Championship at 10:22 a.m. with Marc Leishman, and Brooks Koepka.
Congratulations via social media started Tuesday afternoon to the Casey family.
